We would like all Westie's to bring their humans and join us on our MAY Greater Manchester Westie Walk at
Etherow Country Park
George Street
Compstall
Stockport
SK6 5JD
There is a pay and display car park at the park.
Parking Chargers 1 Hour - £0.70 2 Hours - £1.00 4 Hours - £2.00
SATURDAY 14TH MAY 2022
The walk will start at 12-30. (I shall be there from 12-00 noon)
We shall meet by the visitor centre
There will be a donation of £1 per Westie.
You can donate more if you wish. All Donations and £1's will go towards our Vets Fees that are needed for all the Westie's we have in Long Term Foster and Life Time Care
Toilets and Refreshments
The toilets are near the Boat House and refreshments are in the Boat House
Disabled spaces and disabled access to the cafe
No height restrictions for parking
It will be nice to see as many of you there as possible.
We can assure you that your Westie will have had its new home checked and approved. The new owners will be told all that you have told us about your Westie.
We are a national organisation formed by the late Barbara Graham in the late 1970's. Initially we consisted of a few caring colleagues who struggled to make ends meet against all odds and in the face of adversity. The more widely recognised The Westie Rescue Scheme of the present day came into being in 1993. The Scheme now has over 2500 registered 'friends'.
The WRS Dog Sponsorship Scheme is there to care for those Westies who require indefinite and intensive treatment.
This initiative was first brought into existence in 2006 and is designed to help us to continue to care for those dogs who may stay within the scheme for a longer period of time than normal or, as is the case in many instances, indefinitely.
