January Greater Manchester Westie Walk
We had a lovely walk at Blackleach Country Park at Walkden, Greater Manchester.
The weather wasn’t bad, we had a couple of short, light showers. Then before the end of the walk, the sun started to show.
We had 4 Westies and a Cocker Spaniel. Then just after we started walking we were joined by Bob.
They all had a great time running and exploring together.
You can see more photos on our FaceBook, Greater Manchester Westie Walk Group (private group) and Greater Manchester Westie Walk (public page).
Thank you for £15.00 in Donations raised for WRS.
We are a national organisation formed by the late Barbara Graham in the late 1970's. Initially we consisted of a few caring colleagues who struggled to make ends meet against all odds and in the face of adversity. The more widely recognised The Westie Rescue Scheme of the present day came into being in 1993. The Scheme now has over 2500 registered 'friends'.
The WRS Dog Sponsorship Scheme is there to care for those Westies who require indefinite and intensive treatment.
This initiative was first brought into existence in 2006 and is designed to help us to continue to care for those dogs who may stay within the scheme for a longer period of time than normal or, as is the case in many instances, indefinitely.
