CHRISTMAS JUMPER & TINSEL Greater Manchester Westie Walk

Thank you to all who came on our walk at Sale Water Park. We had 12 attendees. Dolly won our best dressed Westie. Your kind donation raised £29.00 and the raffle raised £19.00. The weather wasn’t too bad, just a drizzle some of the way around. Joe came on the walk, he was one of the last westies we rehomed this year. It would be nice to see more Westies on our next one. Details will be added to our News in the new year. The date will be Sunday 9th January 2022.
We can assure you that your Westie will have had its new home checked and approved. The new owners will be told all that you have told us about your Westie.
We are a national organisation formed by the late Barbara Graham in the late 1970's. Initially we consisted of a few caring colleagues who struggled to make ends meet against all odds and in the face of adversity. The more widely recognised The Westie Rescue Scheme of the present day came into being in 1993. The Scheme now has over 2500 registered 'friends'.
The WRS Dog Sponsorship Scheme is there to care for those Westies who require indefinite and intensive treatment.
This initiative was first brought into existence in 2006 and is designed to help us to continue to care for those dogs who may stay within the scheme for a longer period of time than normal or, as is the case in many instances, indefinitely.
